When combined with Centrinet’s Intelligent Network Services, organisations can fully outsource client data management including all changes and end user support. US network refresh project – Completed January 2009
Centrinet recently managed a US based project to replace old, costly infrastructure in over 170 sites with a Cisco based network, MPLS WAN and new firewalls. Every aspect of the project was monitored and run remotely from the UK with local technicians and hardware suppliers called in where appropriate.
This multi-tenant project saw the installation of Centrinet’s Accessmanager™ firewall and bandwidth control system to allow secure access to around 5,000 organisations. The solution provided high quality, fairly allocated bandwidth to all tenants and massively improved response times compared to the previous, unmanaged installation.
In addition to providing every tenant with their own firewall policy, Accessmanager™ allowed our customer to sell premium bandwidth services, guarantees and limits to create a whole new revenue stream.
WiFi access for coffee lounge customers – October 2008
Our customer, a provider of drop-in style business lounges, required a network of WiFi access points for customer access with centralised billing, centralised authentication and credit card payment integration across 300 sites.
Using local hardware installers, Centrinet coordinated installation of Accessmanager™ and Cisco access controllers to all locations, and provide ongoing management, customer support and monitoring. In addition, a centralised managed Radius server provides authentication and accounting, and the development of a bespoke customer portal allows sign-on and credit card payments. Centralised systems are hosted at our Smartbunker secure data centre in Lincolnshire.
