Built by Centrinet specifically for the managed office environment, Accessmanager™ provides a low-cost, future-proof platform to control revenues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Designed to be deployed on low cost PC hardware, Accessmanager™ replaces previous firewall products with a single system that far surpasses the performance and features previously available.
Visibility, control of revenue and self service are key design features, providing centre teams and business managers with on-line access to view customer and site configurations, revenue distribution and regional deployment. Future enhancements for 2009 include self service modules to allow clients to view their own configurations, with planned extensions to allow client instigated changes where appropriate.
An extensible architecture and commitment to innovation ensures that new challenges such as Voice over IP, WiFi and membership services can be accommodated with ease, with all sites benefiting from future enhancements through our Smart upgrade programme.

Why keep clients separate?
High quality managed offices are professional workplaces where you can conduct business in a safe and managed environment. Unlike a hotel or coffee store where casual access is OK, whole businesses are run from managed offices, which means that data security and quality of access are of paramount importance.
Accessmanager™ and Centrinet extend the managed office experience to clients by providing the benefits of sophisticated corporate IT security and support at a price that is low at the point of delivery. Using Accessmanager™, each client has their own 'virtual' firewall, and can rest assured that however their needs change over time, they are using an infrastructure which allows them to grow and adapt.
The alternative? When clients simply share connections and are not kept apart, centres are unable to control revenue leakage or prevent unauthorised use. Client systems and data are also vulnerable to loss or corruption through hacking, virus and worm infection and simple user error (e.g. innocently making documents available to colleagues). Being able to fairly allocate shared bandwidth among your clients keeps traffic moving and keeps them happy. Clients who need guaranteed throughput can be charged a premium for dedicated access, with flexibility over minimum and maximum allowed speeds.
Bandwidth control also allows you to prioritise certain types of traffic from individuals or groups of clients. For example, highly interactive applications such as video, streaming media or Voice over IP require a higher priority than casual web browsing.
